"Ni Hao" from Ying Pan

Wow. The hard times in your life are often the times you grow the most. I know that any of the others here will agree with that. Wehave had a lot of small irritating problems...and few bigger pains, but God is always faithful. We are starting to teach more and more classes, keeping more and more busy, seeing more and more opportunities to be the light of Jesus.

Just today for example. Joel and I went out for lunch with one of the teachers, and we started talking about spiritism, Chinese religion and Christianity. One of the things that was mentioned was the great fear that the Chinese have for ghosts. But for Christians, we have no reason to be afraid because the blood of Jesus covers us, and there is POWER in the blood!!! Praise the Lord! So that went well, we talked about the plans for teaching some extra classes here at Ying Pan...had a good time.

And then this evening, I went with Christina and Mai to the night market, where we just happened to pass some Mormon missionaries. So the girls suggested that I go and talk to them. And as they went to dinner...I found myself talking to the two "elders". They come out and talk to the Chinese people pretty often, and were just leaving the store when I approached them. I had an interesting short chat with them, I asked them about their work, so they asked me...so I just gave them a quick testimony of the gospel. Thank the Lord for the opportunities we have been given. Also, the school has been blessing us with a bunch of extra stuff that will be a lot of help. A hot pad stove...some computers. Very good. Please pray for they people that we are able to reach with the good news...also, we ask that you would keep Principal Liang in your prayers, that God would touch her heart, and she would respond to the Gospel.

In Christ, and for His Glory,
